🩻468 🩻 Reign of the Shadows -10 book series

I sat down on the porch of the house, watching the sun go down. As the sun set, I saw shadows start to move from the darkness. My porch light started to flicker, and I stood up and said, "Seriously, guys, the sun has not even set all the way. Besides, you know you are not supposed to interact with people who are outside if they are not trying to mess with you lot."

As I went to go into the house, I heard a low chuckle from the trees next to my house. When I heard the chuckle, I stopped and said, "I will light this place up like a sun. You will have no chance in hell of forming with light coming from every section."

Turning back to the yard, I asked, "Any questions?"

"No," It grumbled.

Going into the house, I saw shadows walking through the dark. Climbing up the stairs, I went into my bathroom and started the tub. Getting into the tub, I soaked in the warm water and relaxed. I heard pops and noises outside. Ever since the shadows became more prominent, people have been staying in more. It has been nice seeing people getting back into their hobbies or having time for self-care now.

I did a little of both. I read while I was in the tub. When I got out of the tub, I went to my spare room and reached in to turn the light on. The Shadows have stayed out of my home; however, I have seen a few pop into my craft room where I have been making homemade clothes from older and larger clothing or from the thousands of yards of clothes I inherited from my Mom and Grandma.

Sitting at the card table I put on a fan and opened the window to the room. I took a corset pattern out of my box of patterns and then took out a dark green velvet material. I laid the pattern out and started to cut the peices when I heard a noise from the window. Looking over I saw a shadow sitting on the ledge watching me. Looking at her I said, "If you are a lady can you raise your hand?"

She raised her hand. I followed up and asked, "Are you interested in sewing? If you are can you raise your hand again?"

She raised her hand again and I placed a pattern next to her and said, "I am making a corset for a fun all Hallows eve costume. If it comes out alright I am going to make more to sell. Sewing unique pieces has been a great money maker. So to that I thank the shadows."

The lady started to clap and looked at the pattern that was laid out.
