I woke up to hearing Chloe coo in her room. Getting up I used the bathroom and went into Chloes room picking her up. As I changed her and got her ready for the day I asked, "Are you ready for our outing to the farmers market."
She cooed more as I went to sit on the couch I unlocked the door. Sitting on the couch I fed Chloe and after thirty minutes Sarah came in ready for our adventure. She said, "It is beautiful outside. I have my bags ready to buy stuff as I will be here every night. Let us get this party started."
She put her arms out for Chloe and I went to get myself ready. When I was dressed we put Chloe in her stroller and we passed Mr. Klaus and a helper bringing things to his apartment. He said, "I have a helper today so we will be back and forth. I am sorry my dear everything may be back to your door by the time I am done today."
"Your fine Mr. Klaus," I said. "We will be back soon. If you cn find room upstairs I would appreciate it as well. Please remember to lock the door when you're done."
He nodded and said, "Of course, Maggie. Have to keep everyone safe. You girls have enough drama. Do you want me to hire security."
Sarah said, "Nah, we got this. That and I am concealed carry anyway. Speaking of Maggie, I think we should get you to the range one day and have you take a test so you can get your's. I do not trust that ex of yours nor mine."
Mr. Klaus looked thoughtful and said, "Well Maggie I taught my wife to shoot and I would be honored to teach you as well. Better safe than sorry."
"I will think about it," I said. "But first things first lets go check out this farmers market."
Sarah and I walked to the park and Sarah said, "Wow look at all these stalls."
As we neared Vera and Marv's coffee stand we heard them call out to us. I gave them a big smile and said, "Look Chloe its Vera and Marv."
Vera came out and said, "This must be Sarah. It is wonderful to meet you."
Sarah said, "It is wonderful to meet you as well. This farmers market is hopping today."
Marv came out and said, "We are so happy it is. We want to keep it every weekend going through the summer into the cooler months. The vendors need a good spot and this would help the community as a whole. Can I tempt you girls into trying a new drink we are offering? Its a iced cocoa."
We both smiled and said, "Yes please."
He came back a few minutes later and when Sarah went to pay he said, "On us today ladies. Let me know what you think."
Taking a sip I said, "Oh that is wonderful."
I asked, "Is that cocoa ice cubes?"
Vera laughed and said, "That is why its limitd quantities as we make a batch of the cocoa ice cubes each day."
Sarah said, "Well i think its a keeper."
When a line started to form Vera said, "Enjoy your shopping today girls I better get back to Marv before it gets crazy."
For the next few hours, we shopped at all the vendors. We laughed, joked, and had a wonderful day. We decided to have a late lunch at the end of the trip to the farmers market. We sat at the back of the outdoor cafe and pulled Chloe into my lap. Pulling out my cover I started to nurse her. Before we ordered the waitress came over and placed a glass of ice water in front of me. She said, "Its warm out and you need to stay hydrated to feed your little one. One for the favorite Auntie as well."
Chloe ate as we ordered and Sarah's phone rang. She said, "It's Mike. Time to shine."
She answered the call and said, "Mike, how are you?"
She sat listening and rolled her eyes as she said, "I understand, Mike, I do not understand what's going on but its after one on a Saturday and the bank is closed. So what I will do is send an email and go to the bank first thing Monday morning. You should have enough on your credit account to get you through till then."
She hung up and said, "I am so happy I will have everything done in the next three days. Once we get back to the apartment building, I'm gonna put my things away. Then I am heading back to Mikes apartment to finish everything.What does your week look like?"
"Well now that I have done my first sales I am going to have a new routine with little miss," I said. "I will allow appointment sales in the morning Monday thru thursday so we can do things on the weekend. After the sales and I get Chloe down for her nap I will add additional things to the store and work on the halls and then the apartments. All her appointments will be in the afternoon from now on."
"Wow you are planning," She said. "What are you planning to do on the weekends? Any room for a favorite Aunt?"
"Adventures," I said. "Of course your welcome to come with us. I am thinking of taking Chloe to some gardens, zoos and adventures, not worrying about admission fees."
We continued to eat and talk. When we were done, we walked back to the apartment. When we got home Mr. Klaus was adding things to the hallway and his apartment. Chloe was yawning when we came in and Mr. Klaus said, "It looks like you have had a very good morning. I have something for Chloe if your alright with that Maggie."
"Of course," I said.
He walked into his apartment and came back with a teddy bear. He said, "This was a Teddy Bear I gave my wife decades ago, and I thought this would be a great gift for such a special lady."
Chloe's eyes got big, and she put her hands out. Smiling big, Mr. Klaus handed Chloe the bear as I asked, "Are you sure it was your wife's?"
He said, "Yes, I am very sure. She would not be happy if this bear sat around."
Chloe held the bear tight, and I said, "Well, I think this bear is a fan favorite."
He smiled and said, "Well there may be a few toys along the way. But i need to go. I have a call with my realtor later today. See you later today."
Sarah came out of her apartment and said, "Okay I will be back later I am going to work on the apartment."
Mr. Klaus asked, "Did you finish our storage units?"
"I have to do one last go through and then yes they will be done," She said. "I cannot wait to be moved in."
He chuckles as he said, "I agree dear I am making progress with m house now and am thinking of getting my room sorted and brought here so I can work from the top floor down and leave my office as the last room. Now Maggie if I have clients come here to see me rest assured I will walk them from the door to my apartment or meet them at the cafe across the road. It will depend o the situation."
"I will trust our judgement," I said. "Like I said if your assistant can get some of the items upstairs, it would make things easier for me. He can set aside the screens to block what is behind it."
Chloe started to fuss and I said, "Oh sweet pea, its alright. Let us get you feed and its time for a nap."
I took her to her room and nursed her as she was dozing off. When she dozed off I moved her to her bed. Going into the kitchen, I grabbed all our bags and put all the items from the farmers' market away.
I grabbed her monitor and went into the hallway to work for a while. After working for about two hours I realized CHloe was not waking up yet and went into check on her. She was cured up in a sound sleep. I didn't realize her first trip to the farmers' market had her very sleepy. I went to the hallway and continued on. By the time Chloe woke up I had finished sorting for the day and went to spend some quality time with CHloe.
Coming up- routine, Sarah done with the move and Mr. Klaus is moving in more and more things and moving in for good.
