As the craziness crept up on us with the charity event at the end of the week and Benson's upcoming cancer surgery, we decided to have a family dinner. We loaded into my SUV after we made sure Hope was secured in our family suite. While we were out at the Mexican restaurant, Benson ordered some plain chicken and steak for Hope, and we had a great family meal.
When we arrived back at the house, Charles let Hope out of our suite. When she bounded downstairs, Bensoon had put some of the meat in her bowl as a treat. After she ate, I took her for a walk around the estate. She sniffed everywhere and enjoyed her time outside with me. I was so happy that she was doing well in our home. As I walked, Benson came out and joined me as Charles jogged by.
He matched my step and said, "Will you do me a favor my dear?"
"Of course, what do you need, Benson?"
"If something was to happen to me, you keep Charles sane and going."
"Benson-"
"My love I hope I am around to meet your and Charles children. But I need to be realistic and I need to know you will have him if something happens to me."
"I will, Benson. But please we are going to have many walks in our future. As for children, we can only hope."
Hopes head popped up and charles was about to lap up and her tail started to wag alot. I lifted her leash and when Charles ran past Hope took off with him. Benon and I started chuckling and he said, "Well I guess we will change the subject for now. Are you ready for the charity gala?"
"I am," I said. "I have a vintage dress hidden and ready to wear."
"Well, we can take my new SUV to the event. It will be quite the night and you never know what we find inside the wine room when we get in there."
