My Grandfather was a taxi driver. When he passed away, he left me his condo, three cabs, and his business. I learned quite fast that my Grandfather had a unique clientele, and I learned all about the people and creatures he used to drive.
Chapter 1
My cousins left the funeral home laughing, and I went to my grandfather's small home that was left to me in his will. Looking around the home, I sighed and placed my luggage in the main bedroom. His small home had a basement with a laundry room, A master bedroom with a closet and mathroom, a spare bedroom, an office, a kitchen with a pantry and stairs to the basement, a spare bathroomm, a breakfast nook and a living room with a fireplace. Then off the living room was the garage which holds his taxi car.
Sitting in the kitchen, I read the letter he left for me.
My Dearest Lindsey,
I am so proud of the young woman you have become. I wish I could watch you chase your dreams. But now that you are reading this letter, I know you at least have a home and some funds to go with it. In my cab, there is a journal about my customers and a phone that is paid for over the next ten years. I hope you make the home your own, and I will be watching from the other side.
All my love,
Gramps
