Ten years ago, Abbie ended her engagement with Riley after she found out he tried stealing from her Grandfather and tried to frame her. Abbie had enough and ensured Riley's family knew the truth of what happened, which caused Riley to lose access to the family money by his Grandparents. Riley always swore revenge. After Abbie's Grandfather passed away, she turned his Mansion and property into a hotel, event, and wedding center called The Venue. When Abbie's best friend Leia, Riley's baby sister, decides to get married at The Venue, Riley returns home to cause as much trouble as he can for both Abbie and Leia. Read along as the Venue's staff stops Riley and his entourage from the chaos they want to cause and what those staff workers think.

Abbie walked down the stairs from her quarters while an older woman yelled at Sadie, her wedding coordinator. The woman screamed, "Let me talk to your Manager."

Sadie looked at her and said, "Mrs. Jacobson, I am truly sorry, but there is nothing the Manager can do about this. We tried calling and emailing you multiple times, but when you did not respond and provide the deposit or sign the contract for the date you wanted, it went to the next person who had the deposit on hand. When we did the tour, I informed you that the contract had to be signed and the deposit made to secure the date."

"Listen to me," She yelled. "Get me your Manager."

Walking up, I said, "What seems to be the problem, Sadie."

"I will-" Mrs. Jacobson started.

"Mrs. Jacobson, I was talking to my wedding coordinator," I said. "Sadie, what is going on?"

Sadie looked thankful as I walked up and said, "Abbie, "Mrs. Jacobson toured The Venue two months ago and wanted to book the ballroom for the first weekend of December. At the time of the tour, I advised her the contract would have to be signed and the deposit made to secure the date. I sent the contract via email and a message stating that to hold the room, we needed the deposit. After sending three emails and no response to the calls, we had another patron tour The Venue and wanted to secure the ballroom for the same date. She signed the contract that day, provided the deposit, and made a follow-up appointment to plan all the details as they want to keep everything in-house."

Sadie handed me Mrs. Jacobson's folder, showing me the notes of calls and emails. Turning to Mrs. Jacobson, I said, "Mrs. Jacobson, Sadie told you at the time of your tour that to secure the room, you would have to sign the contract and provide the deposit. Sadie tried contacting you on six multiple occasions. You did not contact us back."

Mrs. Jacobson looked at me and said, "Listen here, young lady, get me your Manager. You all will not be saying no to me. I know the owner."

Smirking, I said, "Really?"

"Yes," She said. "The owner would be disgusted that you are treating me in such a manner."

Sadie handed Mrs. Jacobson my card and said, "This is the owner's phone number of the owner."

She took it and dialed the phone number, not looking at the card. She looked at me and said, "I will have your job."

She dialed the number and smiled as it started to ring. Then her face fell when my phone started to ring. I answered, saying, "Hello, Mrs. Jacobson, this is Abbie, the owner of The Venue. How can I help you?"

Hanging up, she looked at me and said, "You think you're funny?"

"Mrs. Jacobson, Sadie did her job correctly," I said. "Why did you not reply to the emails or return her calls."

"Because I live a busy life, and my Sarah had her heart set on The Venue for her wedding," She said. "Now you are ruining the wedding."

Sadie said, "Mrs. Jacobson, is the date set in stone?"

A voice behind us said, "No, it is not."

We turned and saw a petite brunette walking towards us with an older man. "Sadie, I am so sorry for my mother's behavior. Sadie, This is my father, Bill, and I would love to know what other dates you have open for the ballroom."

Sadie smiled and said. "Sarah, why don't we go to my office and see what we have open? My fiancé told me to pick the day, and he would be there. December 1 was my mother's idea, but I would like a November wedding as I want a fall harvest wedding. Shall we?"

Sadie walked with Sarah and her Dad back to the wedding office, and I turned to Mrs. Jacobson, "Is there anything else you need, Mrs. Jacobson?"

She turned around and walked out the door. I headed to the front desk and asked the team, "So, anything new?"

Max chuckled and said, "Abbie that was an entertaining show. You really should provide us popcorn up here at the desk."

Acting shocked I said, "Max you want me to add to the mini buffet the kitchen bring you back there every day."

Putting his hand on his heart he joked, "You hurt me right here boss lady."

Laughing I added two cases of mini popcorns for the front desk staff to my Sam's Club order. Walking around I checked the upcoming check ins and events to make sure we will have enough staff. I smiled as I saw my best friends wedding coming up on the roster.

I left the desk and walked through the venue rooms. The grand ball room was being set up for a wedding coming up this weekend. Watching my team set tables and making measurements for the dance floor. Everyone of my staff was friendly with each other and the team work they had made my heart soar. When you work at The Venue you are part of the family and we take care of each other. Walking through I heard Sally call me. I headed her way and she she took my arm and she pulled me away, "Hey sorry but can you check on Molly she has looked pale and she has mentioned she has felt ill all day. We had her rolling the silverware at the cart but I think she ran to the bathroom again."

Patting her hand I said, "Of course which way did she go?"

"She headed to the staff bathrooms," Sally said.

I walked to the staff area and knocked at the bathroom door and asked, "Molly are you alright. Sally is worried about you?"

The door unlocked and Molly came out. "Abbie I am so sorry. I feel so sick."

"Molly have you seen a doctor or the staff medic?" I asked.

"No not yet I didn't want to let my team down," She said.

"Sweetie you are pale," I said. "Lets go see Delores and have her check you out. You are not going to arguing with me on this."

We walked down the hallway and went into the medic office. Delores was cleaning when we walked in and said, "Oh Molly girl did you have an accident?"

"Delores," I said. "Molly is pale and has been sick all morning. Can you check her out please?"

"Of course," She said. "Molly sit on the chair. Now how long have you been feeling like this?"

"A few days," She said. "But I am not running a fever and normally water and sitting help."

"Okay," She said. "Let me ask you this could you be pregnant?"

She looked at her and said, "Oh my its a possibility I never thought of it."

Delores went to the cabinet and grabbed a test. Handing it to Molly she said, "Go ahead dear the bathroom is right there."

When Molly went to the bathroom I looked at Delores and asked, "We keep tests here?"

Laughing she said, "You would not believe how many guests come asking for them. I order twenty of them a month."

Shaking my head I said, "Good gravy."

We sat and waited for Molly to come out. When she did she was crying and said, "Its positive."

She sat next to me and I asked, "Are you alright?"

She started to laugh and said, "I think so. You have to understand my husband works out of town as a truck driver. We talked about having kids but I did not think it would be so soon."

Placing my hand on hers I said, "Well we have Delores making you a appointment to go see a Doctor. You will not lose your pay today and when you come in tomorrow come see me and tell me what your doctor said about any restrictions. We are covering the initial appointment so you can see what's going on."

Delores handed her a paper and said, "Give this to the office when you get there. The address is on the front of the envelope."

Molly took it and said, "Thank you."

She left and Delores said, "So I guess we will be looking into the employee daycare center attached to the clinic?"

Laughing I said, "Yes we are. I am glad I never did anything with the rooms past the clinic. They are spacious and I will have to get information on getting an employee daycare set up."

She handed me a card and said, "Ask for Maggie she can help you step by step."

"Delores," I said, "Have I ever told you how much I appreciate you?"

She let out a laugh and said, "Every time you see me."

Walking out of the clinic I went to the ball room and found Molly. She came over and asked quietly, "Is Sally alright?"

Nodding I said, "She will be don't worry. I am sure she will tell you when you see her. She was sent to the doctors though. Do you need extra staff to help out?"

Molly shook her head and said, "Not at all we are going over the finishing touches now and will do our final walk through soon."
